Contraindications: Hypersensitivity, untreated hyperthyroidism or adrenal/pituitary insufficiency, acute myocardial issues. Avoid during pregnancy with thyrostatic agents.

Dosage:

• Hypothyroidism: Start 25-50 mcg/day, increase every 2-4 weeks to 100-200 mcg/day.
• Goiter prevention: 75-200 mcg/day.
• Benign goiter: 75-200 mcg/day.
• Post-thyroidectomy for cancer: 150-300 mcg/day.
• Thyroid suppression test: 150 mcg/day for 14 days.

Duration: Lifelong for hypothyroidism, post-thyroidectomy; months to lifelong for goiter; 14 days for suppression test.

Storage: Below 25°C, away from children.
